The payment options available to Very users

Very offer three payment plans to customers, in addition to paying the usual way. Buyers can choose from buy now pay later, Take 3 and spread the cost. These options are designed to make it easy for customers to buy an item from Very, regardless of whether you have the money or not.

These options spread payments out over a period of time, with the timescale depending on the option you selected. Unfortunately, a couple of the options are difficult to understand; what is the difference between buy now pay later and spread the cost? Their names mean the same thing. So we’re here to help.

Bear in mind that whenever Very use the word month, they mean 28 days.

Take 3 Very payments

Take 3 is a useful option for frequent Very shoppers. When checking out, select the ‘add to account’ option. This will add a monthly payment to your account. Shoppers do not need to pay interest if the amount is paid in time. Take 3 is available on all purchases.

It cannot be used to pay for installation and delivery fees. As the name suggests, Take 3 payments last for three months. If you buy a pair of shoes for £30 and select Take 3, you would pay £10 during the first month, £10 in the second, £10 in the third month. You could then make another purchase with Take 3, adding the monthly cost of the second item to your monthly payment.

Take 3 is useful for items that you’d usually have to save up for. Instead of spending three months saving, then getting hold of the coat you wanted, you can have the item from the start, paying the same price in the long run.

Very Buy Now Pay Later payments

For larger purchases, Very offer customers a Buy Now Pay Later option. BNPL purchases must be at least £50. Here are the options available based on the cost of your purchase:

£50 or more – pay nothing for 6 months

£125 or more – pay nothing for 9 months

£200 or more – pay nothing for 12 calendar months

While pay nothing may sound like an appetising prospect, it should not be seen as a pay nothing period. After the pay nothing period has ended, buyers are charged interest on any outstanding payment. Customers should aim to pay the full amount before their pay nothing period has ended, the best way is in small manageable chunks.

Spread the Cost

Spread the Cost is a monthly instalments payment plan that requires customers to pay a minimum amount each month. Buyers must pay either £5 or 7% of the balance each month, whichever figure is larger. Interest will be charged. Customers can pay as much as they want each month, as long as the minimum amount is paid.

Very delivery and tracking options

As ever with online retailers, delivery causes the most trouble. Parcels not arriving, presents turning up late or, worse still, packages marked as delivered that are nowhere to be found.

What delivery options do Very provide?

Very provide a number of delivery options to users of their site. For small items, Very offer next day delivery, in addition to nominated day delivery, a service that is useful for items you have to sign for.

Very work with Collect+ to provide a click to collect service. This is the only free delivery option available. All other delivery options incur a charge.

Large items always require a payment on delivery, the price is dependent on what you’ve bought. They are not next day delivery, instead they are delivered within 48 hours of ordering or on a chosen day. More information about the different options can be found on the Very website.

Track your Very order

To track your Very order, head to the Very website. At the bottom of the page, click on the Track Your Order section. Login to your Very account and click on the Recent Orders section. You will be able to find out where your order is.

Reporting an issue with undelivered Very packages

Things don’t always go to plan. If your delivery is late, they will refund any premium delivery charges. Very state that there is no reason to contact them about refunding a late delivery, the process is automatic.

If the tracking system tells you that your parcel has been delivered but you have not received it, then it is somewhere. It may be in the secure place that you note down in your delivery profile or it could be with a neighbour. In this case, there should be a card from the courier giving you the information you need to find the parcel.

While Very, formerly Littlewoods Direct, are primarily known for selling clothes and items for your house, they have branched out into the world of home insurance. Very offer £40,000 worth of contents cover, with £300,000 worth of cover for building damage and the like.

Customers can choose to only have contents or buildings cover, or both, and can save up to 25% with a no claims discount. Very home insurance does not cover wear and tear or and damage that has happened when your home is unoccupied for sixty or more days.

Very replacement guarantee

Replacement guarantee is available for the electrical products you use every day, toasters, hair driers, tablets. Because of their frequent use, these items are more likely to break or get accidently damaged. If something breaks, get a new one. Dead simple.

There is no excess, up to four years of cover and accidental damage is covered as soon as you take it home. Theft is not covered, neither is wear and tear. The replacement item you receive is also not covered.

Service guarantee and Very mobile phone insurance

Very provide a service guarantee for important household electricals. If an item is covered and has an electrical or mechanical breakdown, it will be fixed by Very. Mobile phone insurance is also provided. This includes 30 days of cover whilst in another country, and a year of cover for accidental damage and theft. Loss is not covered.

Oh no! I’ve forgotten my Very account login details

If you’ve had a problem with logging into your Very account, you need to change your password or you’ve had your account locked, this is the place to be.

I’ve forgotten my Very account password
